Terms and Conditions

The purpose of the Business Tower Challenge is to engage talented young people in the life of the University and encourage them to develop their own business skills in various fields such as business administration management, marketing management, financial management, team leading, time management, etc.

At Lazarski University, we believe that every person is talented. With the Business Tower Challenge, everyone has the opportunity to showcase their projects: all students from all universities in Poland.

Business contest finish with the big Networking Picnic that is opened for guests and students: grill zone, Dj and network activities – all in one place.

  1. Purpose of the Competition
    To provide practical experience in business strategy and problem solving. Provide an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge into real-world settings. Inspire and encourage students to think creatively and innovatively. Support cooperation and teamwork. Provide a networking platform for gaining valuable information about the business world.
  2. Organizer
    The competition is organized by the Students' Management Club under the coordination of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Lazarski University; Student Help Desk of Lazarski University.

    Elimination round: 21.03-30.03.2025.
    Business Tower Challenge Final Game: 12.04.2025.

  5. Contractor
    1. I. Conditions of Participation:
      Every student of Lazarski University and other universities is invited to participate in the competition (full-time students, part-time students, international students, Erasmus students). Each participant must fill out a participation form. The number of participants in each group is 4 people. The number of participants in the final is limited.
    2. II. Application for the competition
      The application for the competition is made by filling out the online form posted on the media (Student Help Desk, Faculty of Economics and Management, social media of Lazarski University, mails). Entry deadline: until March 30, 2025, 23:59. Contact person: Ms Anastasiia Menshykova: a.menshykova@lazarski.pl.
    3. III. Rules of the competition
      Registration time before the live performance (Final Gala). Qualified and notified participants are obliged to join the meeting at 9:00 am on April 12, 2025, at LU. Each participant will have a designated start time of their performance, which may change slightly. Any changes must be submitted to the email address a.menshykova@lazarski.pl by April 10, 2025, 12:00 pm.  The course of the competition
      1. Each team gets a case study to solve and a separate room for performing this task. The team has 3 hours to prepare.
      2.  Each team has 10  minutes to present in front of the audience and the Board of Judges. 
      3. The language of communication during the event is English. 
      4. The presentation must not contain discriminatory or vulgar content. 
      5. The participant is solely responsible for infringement of third-party copyrights.
      6. For plagiarism, the team is automatically disqualified. 
      7. Team presentations will be judged by members of the jury.

    4. Settlement of the competition
      Each performance is evaluated individually by members of the jury during the final of the event. The winner of the participant is determined by the sum of the points received from the jury. If several participants receive the same number of points the winner is decided by the jury. After the final gala, the audience will have the opportunity to vote and allocate an additional material prize. Voting will be conducted stationary.
    5. Equipment
      The organizer provides sound and lighting equipment, microphones, computer. Teams may have their own laptops and other tools for the preparation of presentations.
    6. Date of results announcement
      The announcement of the results of the competition will take place at LU, during the Business Tower Challenge Final Gala on April 12, 2025, at approximately 16:00.
    7. Awards
      In-kind prizes are guaranteed for the first, second and third place winners, as well as the audience prize. In-kind prizes are in the form of e.g.: vouchers, gift cards, promotional gadgets, educational prizes. All participants will receive a commemorative certificate from Lazarski University. Decisions made by the jury are final. Prizes are not convertible to cash equivalent.
  6. Jury
    Judge Board consists of representatives of education and business.
  7. Additional Information
    Participation in the contest implies acceptance of the terms and conditions of these Regulations. The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the regulations until the closing date for submission of entries. Any changes to the regulations will be announced by e-mail. All persons who complete the form will receive e-mail notifications. Situations not covered by these rules shall be resolved by the organizer of the competition. The administrator of the personal data of the Contest Participants is the organizer.
    The Contest Participants' data will be processed for the purposes of conducting the Contest, selecting, and announcing the winners, awarding, collecting, and accounting for the prizes. Details related to the processing of personal data are contained in the Information Clause below. The Organizer shall not be liable for events that prevent the proper conduct of the Contest, which the Organizer was not able to foresee or prevent, particularly in the event of fortuitous events.
